Camping is a recreational activity where people enjoy nature while spending their time at outdoors leaving their home or usual place of stay. When you are preparing for a camping you have to ensure that the right gears are taken, the weather forecast was checked and you have the right clothing. Find out the factors that will make your camping and the trip a pleasant one for you and nature. It will give you the travel pleasure from a successful camping.
1.    Is it the right time to go?
The meteorology department at Dubai Airport provides weather forecasts and check out the reports before leaving for a camp because sand storms and rains in the month of February and March can be analyzed from these.
2.    Gear up yourself
Never go camping without head torches and a few other gears which can be picked up from camping sections of the following stores. Picnico in Jumeirah, Go Sports in Mall of the Emirates, Ace Hardware branches in Festival City and on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dragon Mart in Al Khail Road, Near International City are some of the stores in UAE which stock most of the required camping tools.
3.    Knowledge of camp
And most important thing is the knowledge about where you’re going and inform your friends or family before leaving. Dubai police suggests this and also to carry GPS devices. This ensures that in case of lose of way your location information can be provided to rescue teams for your retrieval.
4.    Choose the right path
Don’t create a new path if you don’t have to and stay on a proper trail. Because if you had started a new trail the others may not come to your trail and in case of an emergency you will not find any help.

5.    Leave the nature as it is and what you found
To leave the nature as it is you are recommended to leave the spot exactly the same as you found it. If you use toilet spots have it at least 100m from a water source. Don’t take anything away from camp site; just take photographs and memories with you. Whatever the nature has leaved should be left behind even if it is a shell so they can be enjoyed by the next user.

6.    Trash your trash
Do not put trash in the camping site; take everything out with you that you brought in. you can bury the decomposing items like paper, toilet paper, etc properly in the desert and other items like plastics, cans, etc must be taken back with you and dispose in the city waste.

7.    Be careful with fire
Make a ring of stones to keep the fire contained if you need to make a fire and always try to use a previous fire ring as every time a fire is built the soil underneath it will be damaged. Try to avoid virgin ground to make a fire.

8.    Respect wildlife
When you are camping the wild life should be respected. They shouldn’t be approached and don’t feed them. Also you shouldn’t follow or chase them.

9.    Be kind to other visitors
The people cycling, trekking or on horseback should be respected and don’t make noise which can cause disturbance to people.
Warning
Never journey into the desert without another vehicle and you must be a competent desert driver if you are going for a camping in desert and vehicle should be equipped with GPS. Before setting out for your trip; be sure to check the fluid levels, tyres and the weather forecast.
