Panamaram Kottillam (heronry) is one of the most remarkable bird sanctuary spot in the Wayand district of Kerala. This  extraordinary bird nests in the small island of the Kabani river during monsoon is such a excellent view.

The main view of this Kottillam is Oriental White Ibis also called as Arival Kokkan in malayalam is threatened group in Indian endangered list. Four side is surrounded by water itself protects Panamaram Kottillam. Now the bamboos destruction and bird hunters has reduced the number of nests in Panamaram - Kottillam. Perumundi and Cherumundi Kokku are the beautiful view in this island. This place is an excellent for migrating birds. Migrating birds will reach here if there eyes are closed also.
