In Dubai chances of encountering camp site is rare or doesn’t exist compared to camp sites in Europe. But if you seek out you can find out some camping facilities in Dubai. Some beautiful camping locations can be found in the sand dunes along the way to Hatta. Following are some of the camping sites in and around Dubai.

The Beach at Jebel Ali

This location is very popular among those looking for a Dubai camping and especially great during the cooler months. You must obtain a permit from the Dubai municipality for camping and however free of charge.

Liwa

Liwa around 50km from Hamim village towards Abu Dhabi is a perfect camping spot with sand dunes and away from the lights of the city and noise pollution. The place is idyllic with its mesmerized scenery. This part of the desert is very clean and there are some great driving routes in the area. The drive to Liwa Oasis and Moreeb Hill will give five or six hours of fun & excitement. The campers also have a chance to visit the fantastic motor museum on the road down to Hamim, which hosts vintage cars and latest models of almost every brand. It’s owned by the Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family. There are some great motors to be seen and the entry is free and will give you a break for the trip.
Dhaid
On the road to Dhaid near the interchange nine this camping spot in the desert allow you to four-wheel drive you to Fossil Rock and it is also easily accessible from Dubai. Wild rabbits as well as rare insects can be spotted in this area. The presence of trash left over by the visitors in this area is a disadvantage. It is the right place to have your barbecue and please keep your environment clean.
Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve
Sixty kilometers up the Al Ain Highway and five kilometers from Margham Village the place is completely isolated and it will refresh your soul. You may get chances to see Oryx as well as other species such as lizards, sand cats and gazelles.
Wadi Hatta
Wadi Hatta is clean because it is not that easy to get to and nor is it well known. There will be plenty of water and nice rock formations provide good spots for camping. Donkeys, birdlife, snakes near the water and sometimes nocturnal foxes also can be seen here.
